How to fix a washing machine that’s taking too long?

How to fix a washing machine that’s taking too long?

Your Beko washing machine user manual specifies washing times for most programmes. These are average values and may vary. If you don’t have your user manual, you can download it here by entering your product’s model number.

Check the water pressure

Your washing machine needs sufficient water pressure to remove the detergent from the drawer. Check the water pressure either by looking at the pressure gauge attached to the water line, or by attaching a pressure gauge to the valve behind your washing machine.

The water supply pressure required to run your Beko washing machine is between 1 and 10 bars (0.1 – 1 MPa). If the pressure is lower than this, the water pipes may be clogged or leaking. If this is the case, turn off the water supply valve and contact a certified plumber.

Check the voltage

Your washing machine might have stopped temporarily due to low voltage. It’ll resume operation when the voltage returns to normal levels. This may cause the washing cycle to take longer than usual. In this case, seek the help of a qualified electrician.

See if additional functions are selected

Programmes will take longer to finish when an additional function such as extra rinse or pre-wash is selected.

Avoid using too much detergent

You may be using too much detergent or an inappropriate type for your appliance. Read the instructions on the detergent packaging to find out if it’s the right type for your washing machine. Make sure that you’re using no more than the recommended dose.
