My air conditioner is making a squealing noise. Is that normal?
Try to locate where the noise is coming from. If the sound is coming from the indoor unit, the blower motor might be going bad.
If the sound is coming from the outdoor unit, the fan motor can be going bad. Over time the bearings in the fan motor or the fan belt can wear out, causing a squealing noise.
In either case, contact an authorised service agent.
