Why is it hard to open refrigerator doors right after they’ve been closed?

When refrigerator doors are opened, warm air from the room rushes inside the appliance. Once the doors are closed, your refrigerator starts working to lower the temperature inside. This creates negative pressure and the doors will be harder to open. You may need to wait for a few minutes before you can open the door easily again.
