How to fix a washing machine that stops mid-cycle?

How to fix a washing machine that stops mid-cycle?

There are several reasons for your washing machine to stop partway through a programme. Please see if one of the following will solve the problem.

Make sure the load is evenly distributed

Laundry that’s unevenly distributed inside the drum might cause damage to your washing machine. To prevent this, Beko washing machines will automatically inspect the load and stop the spinning process if it’s distributed unevenly inside the drum. Try stopping the machine, draining the water and rearranging the laundry.

See if there’s water left in the drum

The spinning cycle won’t start if the water hasn’t drained completely. Turn off your washing machine and check the drain hose and the pump filter. The hose shouldn’t be bent or clogged. Unclog or straighten it if necessary. Replace leaking, punctured or rusted hoses. Clean your drain pump every three months to avoid clogging.

Avoid using too much detergent

You might be using more detergent than necessary. In this case, your washing machine will stop and try to absorb the excess foam in its drum. Follow the instructions on the detergent packaging and only use the recommended doses.

Check the drive belt for damage

Open the door and try turning the drum with your hand. If it turns with no resistance at all, your appliance’s drive belt might be damaged or broken. In this case, please contact an authorised service agent.
