A perfect potato dish

 

It is not as easy to keep your children away from packaged foods with additives sold in the markets and to direct them to nutritional supplements. We know what you want and offer a nutritious recipe that you can easily make at home. Plus, it has potatoes in it.

Kids love potatoes. But there is a better way to keep them happy. You should definitely try this recipe to make them a perfect potato dish with your own hands.

Ingredients:

  • 3 potatoes
  • 400 ml water
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • ¼ cup cheddar cheese
  • ½ bread crumbs or panko
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 100 g ground beef
  • 100 g spinach, ready to use
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

 

For the Dip:

  • 50 g boiled beetroot
  • 1 tbsp yoghurt
  • Salt & pepper
  • Lemon juice

Step by Step:

1. Boil water on a sauce pan. Add potatoes, low the heat. Cook for 15 minutes.

2. In a pan heat the oil. Sauté onion and garlic, add spinach and cook until all water

goes. Add beef and keep stirring. When beef turn to brown add tomato, salt and

pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.

3. Preheat oven 200°C. Prepare tray with baking sheet.

4. Drain potatoes, add butter, milk, cheddar cheese and spices, mashed everything

together. Portion the mix to six pieces.

5. Roll out pieces with hand, not too thin. Put 1 tbsp beef every one of them. Close the

edges carefully and give shape as ball.

6. In a bowl put panko. Cover potato balls with panko then place it on the baking tray.

Roast for 15 minutes, until they turn golden brown.

7. Mix sauce ingredients in a bowl.

8. Serve with the sauce. Enjoy!
