How to Reverse the Door of Your Beko Tumble Dryer
Reversing the door of your Beko tumble dryer can make it more convenient to load and
unload your laundry, depending on the layout of your laundry room. Beko dryers are
designed with the flexibility to reverse the door, allowing you to choose the door-opening
direction that best suits your space.
Step 1: Prepare the Dryer
Before you begin, ensure the tumble dryer is unplugged from the power source for safety.
Step 2: Remove the Door from the Dryer
Open the door and locate the screws on the hinge. Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew
the hinge from the dryer frame. Carefully remove the door and place it on a soft surface to
avoid scratches or damage.
Step 3: Remove the Door Seal Latch
Look at the inside of the door. You’ll notice the door seal latch, which is connected to the
locking mechanism. Gently release the latch and disconnect it from its place by following
the indicated steps in the images.
Step 4: Unscrew and Remove the Door Frame Parts
With the door on a flat surface, locate the screws around the perimeter of the door
(marked in the images). Using your screwdriver, remove these screws, which will allow you
to separate the inner and outer door frames.
Step 5: Reverse the Locking Mechanism
Once the door frames are separated, you can reverse the locking mechanism. Remove the
screws holding the latch in place, as shown in the images. After the lock is detached,
position it on the opposite side of the door and secure it with screws.
Step 6: Reassemble the Door
After reversing the locking mechanism, reassemble the door by aligning the outer and inner
door frames back together. Secure them with the screws you removed earlier.
Step 7: Attach the Door to the Opposite Side of the Dryer
Now that the door is reassembled and the locking mechanism is reversed, it's time to
attach the door to the dryer. Locate the hinge slots on the opposite side of the dryer frame.
Use your screwdriver to reattach the hinge, ensuring the door is securely fastened.
Step 8: Final Checks
Before plugging the dryer back into the power source, open and close the door a few times
to ensure it opens and closes smoothly. Check the alignment to ensure there is no
obstruction, and the lock mechanism works properly.
Following these steps will allow you to reverse the door of your Beko tumble dryer easily,
optimizing its functionality to fit your laundry room layout.
