Dryer Takes Forever to Dry? Here's What to Check
If your Beko dryer is taking too long to dry clothes, follow these steps to improve its
performance:
Step 1: Maximize Spin Speed
Ensure your washing machine is set to the maximum spin level suitable for your fabric to
remove excess water.
Step 2: Use the Correct Program
Ensure the selected program is compatible with the fabric type to optimize drying efficiency.
Step 3: Avoid Tangled or Minimal Loads
Do not load tangled or very small amounts of clothes into the dryer, as the drying sensor
may not work properly, leading to longer drying times.
Step 4: Check the Lint Filter
If the lint filter is clogged, drying time increases, and energy consumption rises. Remove the
inner and outer filters, clean them with a damp cloth or vacuum, and wash them under
running water. Dry thoroughly before placing them back.
Step 5: Clean the Drying Sensor
A dirty drying sensor can affect performance. Gently clean the metal surfaces of the sensor
located inside the machine every three months.
Step 6: Clean the Evaporator Filter
Check the display for a warning symbol every 3 cycles, then clean the sponge evaporator
filter. Wash the filter under running water and ensure it is dry before placing it back.
Step 7: Maintain the Evaporator
Clean the evaporator fins every 6 months using a brush or vacuum cleaner. Make sure to lock
the cover securely after cleaning.
By following these steps, you can improve the performance of your dryer and reduce drying
time.
