How to Use Fridge Vacation Mode

Fridge vacation mode is a useful feature when you're away for extended periods. It helps

save energy while keeping the fridge in a standby state. Here’s how to activate it and

prepare your fridge:

Step 1: Activate Vacation Mode

To activate vacation mode, simply press the vacation button on your fridge's control

panel. This will reduce the fridge's energy consumption by keeping only the freezer running

while the fridge compartment remains inactive.

Step 2: Empty the Fridge

Before activating vacation mode, take out all perishable items from the fridge

compartment. This will prevent spoilage while the fridge section is turned off.

Step 3: Clean the Fridge

Once the fridge is empty, clean the interior with a soft damp cloth. This helps prevent

odors from developing while the fridge is in vacation mode.

Step 4: Deactivate Vacation Mode

When you return from your vacation, press the vacation button again to deactivate the

mode. During vacation mode, an umbrella symbol will appear on the display, indicating

that the refrigerator is operating in energy-saving mode. Once you press the button to

deactivate it, the umbrella symbol will disappear, and the fridge will return to normal

operation.

By following these steps, you can safely use vacation mode to conserve energy while

keeping your fridge in top condition during your time away.
