The built-in anti-scale cartridge is designed to reduce limescale build-up that occurs over time. This will prolong the lifespan of your iron. The cartridge must be replaced after every 30 litres of water has been used up.
Most Beko steam generator irons have an indicator light to signal when the cartridge needs changing. Please use cartridges sold by authorised dealers and service centres only.
Remove the new cartridge from its package. Soak it in water for about one minute to enhance its performance. Unplug your iron and let it cool down before removing any parts. Press and release to remove the old cartridge from the slot and push the new one in.
For more information on installing the anti-scale cartridge, please consult your user manual. If you’re having trouble finding your manual, download it here using your product’s model number.
Use only tap water with your iron. Your appliance is not designed to be used with drinking or distilled water. If your tap water is excessively hard, use a mixture of tap water with drinking water.
Do not pour perfume, vinegar or other liquids into the water tank. These can cause serious damage to your iron or clothes.
The water spray feature is ideal for ironing heavy fabrics or difficult areas like collars, sleeves and pockets. Sprayed water helps your iron to remove creases.
Unplug the iron and wait for it to cool down. Empty the water tank if you are not planning to use it for a long time.
Do not wrap the cable around the iron. You can wrap it around the cable winding slot if your model is equipped with one. Keep your iron on a stable surface.
Always keep your iron out of the reach of children.
Depending on the set temperature, most modern irons heat up in just a few minutes. Once you plug in your iron and adjust the temperature, the thermostat indicator will light up. Your iron will be ready to use when the light turns off.
