INGREDIENTS

 

Meatballs:
 

  • 350g of minced beef
  • 1 onion
  • 15g of fresh parsley
  • 1g of cinnamon powder
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 10g of salt
  • 2g of pepper

 

Tomato sauce:

 

  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 2g allspice powder
  • 30g of tomato paste
  • 400g of tomatoes
  • 10g of honey
  • 20g of pomegranate molasses
  • 1g coriander powder

 

INSTRUCTIONS

 

  • In a bowl, combine the minced beef, half of the finely chopped onions, cinnamon powder, black pepper, parsley, and salt. Knead the mixture until well combined. Shape into 15g meatballs.

 

  • Preheat the oven to 225 °C. Once hot, drizzle the vegetable oil on an oven tray and add the meatballs. Roast for 6-7 minutes until browned.

 

  • Preheat a saucepan on medium heat, add the onions, and cook for 5 minutes. Add the garlic, coriander powder, and allspice powder. Cook for 1 minute.

 

  • Use the Beko Starlight Blender to puree the tomatoes.

 

  • Add the tomato paste, freshly pureed tomatoes, honey, pomegranate molasses, and carrots into the saucepan.

 

  • Reduce the heat to a low temperature and cook for 12-15 minutes.

 

  • Serve with rice as an option.
