How to Clean the Pump Filter on Your Beko Washing Machine

Cleaning the pump filter of your Beko washing machine is an essential maintenance task

to keep your appliance functioning optimally. Over time, the pump filter can become

clogged with small objects, dirt, or other debris, leading to drainage issues. Follow these

steps to clean the filter properly:

Step 1: Check the Pump Filter Regularly

To ensure your washing machine runs smoothly, check the pump filter every 3 months.

This will help prevent any potential blockages that could affect the washing machine's

performance.

Step 2: Prepare Your Tools

Before you begin, bring a bowl or towel and place it under the filter area to catch any

water that may leak out during the cleaning process. This will help prevent any mess on

your floor.

Step 3: Locate the Pump Filter

Find the pump filter cover at the bottom front of your washing machine. Open the cover to

access the filter.

Step 4: Remove the Pump Filter

Turn the pump filter anticlockwise and gently pull it out. Be prepared for some water to

flow out, which is normal. The towel or bowl you placed earlier will catch this excess water.

Step 5: Inspect the Filter

Check the filter for any dirt, lint, or small objects such as coins or hairpins that may be

stuck. These items can block the filter and prevent your washing machine from draining

properly.

Step 6: Clean the Filter and Housing

Remove any debris or objects stuck to the filter or inside the filter housing. Make sure both

the filter and the area it sits in are completely clean.

Step 7: Reinstall the Pump Filter

Once the filter is clean, carefully reinsert it into its housing by turning it clockwise until

it’s securely in place. Ensure it’s properly tightened to prevent any future leaks.

By regularly cleaning the pump filter and removing any debris, you’ll help keep your Beko

washing machine functioning at its best, ensuring optimal performance for years to come.
