How to Clean Your Fridge Water Tank
Keeping your fridge water tank clean is essential to ensure fresh and safe drinking water.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to cleaning your fridge's water tank:
Step 1: Remove the Water Tank
Begin by taking out the water tank from inside the door rack of your fridge. Hold the tank
firmly and pull it out gently to avoid any spillage.
Step 2: Remove the Door Rack
Once the water tank is out, remove the door rack by holding it from both sides and pulling
it out carefully. This will give you more room to handle the water tank and make it easier to
clean.
Step 3: Remove the Water Tank Cover
Next, remove the cover of the water tank. This is important to access the inside of the
tank where water is stored.
Step 4: Rinse and Dry the Water Tank
Once the cover is off, rinse the water tank thoroughly with clean water to remove any
debris or build-up. Make sure to rinse it well to ensure it’s free of any residue.
Step 5: Dry the Water Tank Before Reinstallation
After rinsing, allow the water tank to air dry completely or wipe it down with a clean, dry
cloth. This step ensures that no moisture is left before reinstalling the tank.
Step 6: Reinstall the Water Tank and Door Rack
Once the tank is dry, place the cover back on and reinstall the water tank into its spot in
the door rack. Lastly, slide the door rack back into place by pushing it firmly on both sides.
By following these steps, you’ll keep your fridge’s water tank clean and functioning
smoothly, ensuring fresh water every time.
